Abstract

An analysis of regulatory documents concerning to the requirements for the assessment of soil lead contamination in the areas adjacent to car roads has been performed. Main factors of soil contamination on mentioned territory have been found out. The results of studies on soil contamination with the components of deicing agents have been introduced. The rationale for the need of developing a method of the assessment of soil lead contamination in the areas adjacent to car roads has been given. Tasks for developing this method have been identified. Ideas for the assessment of soil lead contamination in areas adjacent to car roads have been proposed. First idea is moving away from the classical approach assessment of the pollution, which is based on a comparison of predicted (actual) concentrations with MPC. Second idea is assessing the degree of soil contamination on the lead mobile species content.
